The 316th Wing Public Affairs offers services to all members stationed on Joint Base Andrews. Military members stationed outside Joint Base Andrews should contact their respective Public Affairs office to schedule a studio appointment.

** Official photos are only provided for group-level and above quarterly awards winners, Chain of Command key personnel and special duty packages. For official photos and special duty packages please bring in a copy of your specific requirements. We do not take photos for retirement programs, award nominees, or unofficial biographies. For special duty packages, please bring a copy of the photo requirements.

We are required to provide our customers with high quality, properly exposed and composed digital images. The photographer may assist you with minor adjustments for best subject representation. The photographer is NOT responsible for proper wear of the uniform. Military photographers are NOT authorized (AFI 35-109 and DODI 5040.02) to digitally alter images in any way. Studio photography is by appointment only and available for official portraits as required by AFI as well as applications for special duty assignments, official passports, and citizenship applications. Chain-of-command studio photography will be provided for leadership at the group-level and above (commander, deputy/vice commander, senior enlisted leader, and first sergeant) as well as quarterly and annual award winners at the group-level and above.

Exceptions to the official studio photography stipulations are permitted with proper justification. Justifications are annotations within DODI, AFI, and/or package descriptions explaining the need for an official photo. A commander’s email does not meet the justification requirement for having an official photo taken.

All official photos will be emailed to the requestor as the primary product. Prints are available if justification is approved.

Studio appointments must be made online at the JBA website—no other method of scheduling official photos is permitted.
